2nd Annual Mike Alstott Family Foundation In-Shore/Off-Shore Shootout!
 The Mike Alstott Family Foundation has once again teamed up with the Old Salt Fishing Foundation to hold the second annual Mike Alstott Family Foundation in-shore/off-shore shootout on July 11.
This year’s event will pair with one of the most recognizable and exciting tournament in the area, “The Old Salt LOOP Tournament”, a three day billfish tournament which will take place July 7 – 11.
Additional new features this year will include a Free Kids & Teen Fishing Tournament, and a Casino Night and Texas Hold’em Tournament.
The Kids & Teens tournament will be held Saturday, July 11th from 8 am – 12 pm at the Vinoy Renaissance Marina, Downtown St. Petersburg. There will be divisions for ages 5 – 18 yrs old. Participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing rod, if they have one, and the rest will be supplied by event organizers. A Kids Zone will also be available following fishing and awards.
The Casino Night and Texas Hold’em Tournament will take place on July 7 in conjunction with the fishing tournaments’ Captains’ Parties.
The Mike Alstott Family Fishing tournament will once again feature a Rodeo Style format. This unique and rare multiple specie points style event was created to give an equal playing field to all participants. Points are awarded per specie and per pound or inches of fish. There will be both an in-shore and off-shore division. In addition, the tournament will feature Youth, Ladies and Family divisions.
