On Saturday, December 12, the Mike Alstott Family Foundation held the 2nd Annual Sports Buddies Day, hosted by the Tampa Bay Rays. Over 300 kids and adults involved in the Big Brothers Big Sisters Sports Buddies program came out to meet former Bucs fullback Mike Alstott and enjoy a day of fun, food, and festivities. The matches were also given a pair of tickets to enjoy the Beef O’ Brady’s St. Petersburg Bowl held on the very same field where the kids had a chance to run some football drills and even catch a touchdown pass from mike Alstott. The kids also enjoyed games of corn toss, baseball hitting drills, and having themselves drawn by a caricature artist.

The goal of Sports Buddies is to recruit male volunteers to be big brothers.
